PURPOSE:
To investigate the effect of the use of an insole made with MIG3® Bioceramics inside the molecules of the fabric (INVEL®) for infrared emission, during intense exercise to attenuate soreness and pain in the recovery period.
METHODS:
In a double blind, cross-over study, 10 male individuals 20-32 years of age were randomly assigned in Control and BioC conditions. In both conditions, the subjects were submitted to 30 minutes of treadmill downhill running at 85% of maximal heart rate. Thigh perimeter (TP), serum Creatine Kinase (CK) and Pain (Visual Analogue Scale) were measured prior, 24, 48 and 72 hours after exercise bout.
INCORPORATION OF BIOCERAMIC® MIG3®

RESULTS:
There were no significant baseline differences between groups in CK values. Comparing the 24, 48 and 72 hours after exercise between control and invel conditions we detect significant decreases when using the insole with Bioceramics. The VAS scores were also significantly decreased after using the insert in the same period. There were no significant differences in thigh perimeter between conditions. *p<0,05.

CONCLUSIONS:
The study results indicate that the use of an insole with Bioceramics can attenuate the post-exercise soreness and pain.
