Questions, answered plainly.
Specific beats clever. Here's what people ask most.
What is MIG3?+
MIG3 is a bioceramic mineral — oxides of magnesium, silicon, alumina and other ceramic elements — built into the fiber of Invel garments. It emits far infrared in the 3 to 14.8 micron range.
How does it work?+
It's a passive technology. Your body heat activates the material, which returns energy as far infrared to the area the garment covers. No batteries, no wires, no charging. See how it works →
Will I feel anything?+
It works quietly with your own body heat, so it isn't a heating pad — there's no active heat you switch on. Comfort is subtle and personal, and experiences vary from person to person.
Is it a medical device?+
No. Invel garments are marketed as general wellness products, consistent with the FDA's General Wellness policy for low-risk products. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Does the technology wash out?+
No. Because the mineral is built into the fiber rather than coated on the surface, normal washing does not remove it. See the care guide →
How do I wash my garment?+
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, no bleach and no fabric softener, and line dry or tumble on low. Full details are in the care guide →
Are there studies?+
Yes — including work on MIG3 fabric indexed in PubMed. We summarize what each study measured, what it found, and its limits, and we link to the full documents. Read the science →
Can I buy in the United States?+
We're not selling online in the U.S. just yet. To ask about availability or visit the Orlando showroom, contact us. Clinics and stores can join the retailer program.
